I have always been fond of dress chinos, but even with brands that specialize in trousers, ready-to-wear cotton pants often lack a truly sartorial construction. That led me to place a custom order in pursuit of an ideal pair.
The fabric chosen was Loro Piana’s Cotton Way. This was my first time selecting the Comfort Fit. The generous silhouette, the substantial, densely woven fabric with a firm hand, and above all Rota’s superb craftsmanship result in crease lines that fall beautifully. The overall balance is outstanding.
I would happily place another order in a different color.

I don’t know how many Rota trousers I already have, I order them usually with long belt and sideadjuster. All are great, especially with Loro Piana or Fox Brothers fabric. Hope we will see more of these fabrics next season.
Rota is always an excellent choice! Modern cut and fit, great fabric and made with great care for details! This is my 5th Rota pant, none of them I do regret!
Obviously Rota quality but what stands out is the fabric color. Describingt hem as "light brown" doesn't capture the nuance and versatility of the fabric. These trousers work with an amazing number of jackets.
I picked up a pair of covert-cloth trousers (likely made by VBC) for the first time, and I’m very pleased with them. The fabric has a firm hand and holds a crisp crease beautifully. The relaxed fit with two pleats is also perfect for achieving an old-money look.
My third pair of Rota trousers, and these might be the best yet! The medium weight wool really accentuates the quality of the tailoring and fit is perfect. I get a lot of compliments.
For anyone looking for advice: the high waist and comfort seat are awesome, particularly if you’re someone who isn’t rake thin and has some muscle. (This is no euphemism for fat; I play soccer and have strong legs.) I’d also recommend the double pleat. The cut is still flattering and slimming, but I feel free to move in the trousers.
